Our commitment, in two sentences
Easys is a matchmaking agency. Our entire profession rests on confidentiality: without it, our members would not entrust us with their search for a soulmate, and we could not do our job. This policy details how we apply that commitment, in compliance with the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).

What data we collect
1. Data entered by you via the contact form
- Identification: title, first name, surname
- Contact details: email address, phone number
- Contextual information: age range, place of residence (city, cross-border status), preferred format for the interview (in person, video, phone)
- Free message: if you choose to enter one
- Consent: timestamped record of your acceptance of this policy
2. Data collected during the interview
If you subscribe to an Easys engagement, we collect during the interview — always with your explicit consent — more detailed information about your personal background, your search criteria and your life project. This data is strictly necessary for the matchmaking assignment and is stored offline in our secure systems, never published or shared without your consent.
3. Technical navigation data
The easys.lu site installs no advertising tracking cookies, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no retargeting tool. We use only strictly necessary technical cookies (audio player state, display preferences). Our host may retain server logs (anonymised IP, browser type, visit time) for a maximum of 30 days, exclusively for technical security purposes.
Why we collect this data — legal basis and purposes
- To get back to you after an interview request (legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request, GDPR art. 6.1.b)
- To carry out the matchmaking service if you entrust your assignment to us (legal basis: contract performance, GDPR art. 6.1.b)
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations (legal basis: GDPR art. 6.1.c — retention of invoices and contracts for 10 years in Belgium, 10 years in Luxembourg)
- To ensure the security of the site (legal basis: legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6.1.f)
We carry out no automated profiling nor automated commercial steps. No decision concerning you is taken by an algorithm — every matchmaking decision is human.
How long we keep your data
- If you contact us without subscribing: your details and the content of the exchange are kept for a maximum of 30 days after our last exchange, then destroyed. You can request immediate destruction at any time.
- If you become an Easys member: your data is kept for the duration of your engagement, then archived for 5 years from the closure of the file (in accordance with the professional obligations of the SPF Économie licence), then destroyed.
- Associated accounting documents: 10 years, statutory duration.
- Technical server logs: maximum 30 days at our host.
Who we share your data with
No one, by default. Your data is never sold, rented or transmitted to third parties for commercial purposes. The only possible sharing, strictly framed, is:
- Easys members preselected for you: only after your prior explicit consent, and on a limited basis (first name, summary profile, photo if you authorise it).
- Technical providers (host, transactional email provider): framed by GDPR-compliant subcontracting contracts, with no right to use the data.
- Competent authorities: only on written judicial requisition compliant with applicable law.
No data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Your rights — GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your data at any time, exercisable by a simple email to contact@easys.lu or by post to Easys SrL, Avenue de la Grotte 19, 4130 Tilff (Belgium):
- Right of access — obtain a copy of data concerning you
- Right of rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure — request the deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Right to object — object to the processing of your data
- Right to portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time, without justification
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: the Belgian DPA or the Luxembourg CNPD
We undertake to respond to any request within a maximum of one month.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: HTTPS encryption across the whole site, European hosting, file access strictly limited to Nathalie Teston, encrypted backups, protected workstations. No system is invulnerable, but we apply the highest standards of our industry.
Changes to this policy
This policy may evolve in the event of changes to the regulatory framework or our practices. Any substantial change will be flagged on this page and notified to active members.
